Love the dress and the color. The collar has sizing to keep it stiff, but the placket doesn't, and it doesn't lay flat, even when on the hanger. I'll need to add a snap or something to keep it from flopping out. This might be a change to consider when making other shirt dresses, to add some sort of lining in the placket to make it stay in place/flat.

Love the print and the cut of the dress. The colors in blue and green are beautiful. It looks great with my malachite and jade jewelry. Appreciate the three quarter sleeves. What I would prefer is a looser fit. The stretch makes it very comfortable, but it is form fitting. I ordered my regular size according to size chart. Would recommend going up a size if you do want a looser fit.

Love the dress. Very flattering and embroidery is beautiful. But, for a gauze fabric dress it is on the pricey side. All that said, it is lovely.
Beautiful dress, but the sizing is very slim cut. Also there is weird very light stitching holding the lower end of the v-neckline together, would pull out if you pulled the dress on too quickly.
Pretty dress but a bit shorter and tighter than I anticipated. Larger size would likely be too large. Keeping it since I don’t want to lose the return/restock fee.
I love this dress! Very flattering. It is good for wearing in the south, because I feel like the color schemes trend fall, but the fabric is lightweight. I bought it in red and navy. Have never purchased this brand before. I bought one in a large and XL. I am 5’7” 145 pounds. I am a little larger in the bust. The large was great except was a little snug in the bust area. The fabric has some stretch to it, so it is manageable. The extra large did well on top, but was roomy in the waist.

It is OK but not as nice as the Charlie Shirtdress; because the fabric is thicker and holds shape. Peyton fabric is soft and thin which is perfect for the hot summer season; but not my choice. Thank you for your beautiful dresses I really love them!!!!!
The fabric is beautiful and the dress is well made. The embroidery on neckline is lovely, however the crystals are heavy and weigh on your neck and the prongs grab your hair. For this reason, I returned the dress, but would not hesitate to order one without the heavy crystals.
My Bella Tu Experience!
Discovering Bella Tu by visiting a trunk show on Gasparilla Island was an unexpected highlight of my trip! I live in the Northeast where we cannot find clothes along these lines! It’s so frustrating! Whenever I travel to warm spots in the south, I struggle for the right look. Well! Struggle no more! I have ordered many items since my couple purchases at that trunk show! The Bella Tu team is fantastic to work with!
I bought two of these dresses in two different colors because of the advertised 40 inch length. I am so tired of all of those big flouncy mid calf dresses, but all the short dresses are too short for an almost 73-year-old woman. Some of my peers don’t agree, but for me it’s an absolute. I like to be age-appropriate and trendy at the same time! These dresses are youthful and flirty, yet trendy and sophisticated, AND fit perfectly!
Love the shape and style of this dress. Great piece. Easy to wear. Comfortable but not shapeless. Drapes nicely, can dress up or wear with sneakers or flip flops. I bought it first in the mint green color (gorgeous!) and loved it enough to also buy it in pink and white sky. The whites are too sheer (hate that you can see my underwear underneath) but the pink and mint are perfect!
Gorgeous color and style. Loved it so much I bought two other colors but this color is the best. Lovely and comfortable. People actually stop me in public places to comment how great this dress is. If it was in blue and purple I’d buy those too. Love this simple style without a lot of ruffle and frill.

It is a pretty dress! What I did not like is the metallic threads. I wished that had not been in the fabric. You can see through the dress. I loved the dress on the model but not on me.
This is my 6th Charlie dress! The fit of this dress is exactly like my first few, which I love the most. The last two have felt tighter and more stretchy than I prefer. I would love to see this fit consistently remain - just like the Zinnia print fits!! The Zinnia design is really, really pretty too. Happy to add it to the Bella Tu family in my wardrobe! 😊
Love this dress… I have a similar one in a different print from last year and had to have another. The material is soft and lightweight - perfect for hot summer days & nights. I was initially worried about the length but I am 5’2 and the length is perfect - no hemming needed. I wear a size small (5’2, 124 lbs with an athletic frame). Would recommend.
It's beautiful and well made, but the shoulder area wasn't flattering on me. Perhaps it was too roomy. Returned it.
